Hello and welcome to The Old-Time Radio Hour Blog. I'm your host Justeen Ward and each week we bring you a classic show from Radio's Golden Age. This week we have one of old radio's favorite hard boiled detectives, Johnny Dollar. This detective drama about a freelance insurance investigator ran from 1948 until 1962. Most of the time it was in a weekly 30 minute slot, but in the years 1955 and 1956 they broadcast 15 minutes every weeknight to finish the story. I have pulled together the five installments starting March 26, 1956 so you can hear all five episodes, so our show is a little longer than an hour this week. Johnny Dollar, played by Bob Bailey, falls in love while on vacation near San Diego in this episode. This is Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar "The LaMarr Matter" first broadcast March 26, 1956 on CBS.
